Мы принимаем название Фриса в виду того, что более раннее описание Мейера относится к двум видам: к широко распространенному по торфяным болотам тундры и севера лесной зоны Eriophorum russeolum Fries и к Eriophorum medium Anders., обладающему более узким ареалом на крайнем севере Евразии и Америки. Издаваемые экземпляры ничем не отличаются от скандинавских. Б. Городков.
