МНР : 83, Караваев, 1958, Консп. фл. Якут. : 68. Во "Флоре СССР" (цит. место) сказано, что этот вид растет по болотистым лугам и кустарникам. По-видимому, это не всегда, вернее, не везде верно. По моим наблюдениям, в Баргузинской котловине (Прибайкалье) эта осока встречается в осветленных сосновых и лиственничных лесах, на песчаной и супесчаной почве с разреженным растительным покровом. Подобно близкородственной C. atrofusca Schkuhr., нередко разрастается в одновидные коврики и латки, но в отличие от не не обнаруживает заметной кальцефилии. В. Сипливинский.
