А.И. Толмачев в "Арктич. фл. СССР, т. 4", с. 18 отмечает, что J. stygius ─ бореальный вид, едва заходящий в Арктику, и что большая часть указаний о находках вида в Арктике относится в действительности к др. видам, чаще всего к J. biglumis и J. triglumis.
