Морфологические отличия S. brachypoda (Trautv. et Mey) Kom. ex Nas. от S. rosmarinifolia L. очень невелики (более длинная сережка, короткие ножки завязей, обычно желтоватый оттенок опушения), но весьма стойки, поэтому, вероятно, следует признавать S. brachypoda за самостоятельный вид.
