Dum. = Purpureae Koch. Крайне характерная среднесибирская ива, близкая к S. caesia Vill. Молодые листья сизые, почти голубые, нежные, при сушке легко чернеют; взрослые становятся почти кожистыми и не чернеют. Листья всегда цельнокрайние. Куст небольшой, ок. 1,5 м выс. Издается типичная форма вида. М. Попов.
