1923, Ботан. мат. (Ленинград) : Шипчинский, 1937, Фл. СССР 7 : 53; Толмачев, 1971, Аркт. фл. СССР 6 : 139. Эндемичный для Чукотки горный вид, относимый к числу очень редких растний. Однако в некоторых пунктах T. chartosepalus отмечен в значительном обилии. Довольно обычным оказался этот вид в верховьях р. Ябллон (система р. Анадырь), где растения T. chartosepalus нередко встречаются даже в кочкарных тундрах с Eriophorum vaginatum и Carex lugens. Обычные же местообитания этого вида - места долгого залеживания снега и желоба стока, берега ручьев и вершинных водотоков. Создается впечатление, что T. chartosepalus часто остается незамченным и не собираемым коллекторами из-за раннего цветения и интенсивного поедания плодов птицами и грызунами. В. Петровский.
