От Betula pendula Roth. отличаются более крупными яйцевидными с обрубленным или закругленным основанием листьями, средней лопастью прицветной чешуи, менее сросшейся с боковыми лопастями, и относительно более узкими крылышками. От B. platyphylloides V. Vassil. (из Казахстана) отличается более крупными листьями с сильно оттянутой верхушкой и более крупной зубчатостью по краям листьев. По форме и размерам листьев имеет значительное сходство с B. manshurica (Regel.) Nakai. В. Васильев.
