О-в Сахалин, окр. г. Долинска. На частично облесенных юго-западных склонах возвышенности у края горной долины, к востоку от города. == Insula Sachalin. In viciniis opp. Dolinsk. In declivitatibus austro-occidentalibus collis apud maeginem vallis montanae ad orientem ab oppido, in silva collucatis.

Довольно обычное, одним из первых развивающееся весною растение южных районов Сахалина. Растет как под пологом хвойного леса на горных склонах, преимущественно в осветленных местах, так и в пойменных лиственных (из ивы, ольхи, иногда с участием тополя и вяза) лесах. Наиболее рано цветущий на Сахалине представитель рода. Возможность отграничения нашей формы (как ssp. villosa Ulbr. или как A. Raddeana Rgl. s. str.) от японской ( ssp. glabra Ulbr. - A. Naximowiczii Juz. in sched.) представляется весьма сомнительной. поскольку развитие опушения представляет признак, подверженный очень значительной изменчивости даже в рамках одной популяции. А.
