О-в Сахалин, окр. г. Долинска. Возвышенность к востоку от города, среди разреженного елово-пихтово-березового леса. == Insula Sachalin, in viciniis opp. Dolinsk. Collis ad orientem ad oppido, in piceeto-abieto-betuletis collucatis.

Широко распространена на Сахалине, от крайнего юга до северной оконечности острова. Растет в хорошо освещенных местах среди леса, главным образом по склонам, часто на каменистой почве. Обычна и во многих местах многочисленна. Поднимается в горы на значительную высоту, но на высших вершинах замещается близкой S. Beauverdiana Schn., встречающейся в средней части Сахалина также и в низменных местах, но вообще распространенной на Сахалине гораздо меньше, чем S. betulifolia Pall. А. Толмачев
