I, p. 633 (1842) non L. Издаваемый вид относится к секции Alopecias (Stev.) Bge. подрода Calycophysa Bge. От близкого вида A. alopecias Pall., также встречающегося и на Алтае, отличается менее удлиненным и продолговатым соцветием, большим количеством пар продолговатых или продолговато-ланцетных листочков, более короткими зубцами чашечки (короче трубки), овально-продолговатым флагом.
