Этот вид прежде относилая к циклам B. ranunculoides s. l. или B. falcatun s. l. Однако при исследовании химического состава (флавоноидов и титерпеноидов) надземной и подемной частей растения (Горовой, Уланова, 1969) показано его сходство с представителями подсекций Chtysophyton Lincz. и Arpopleurum Lincz. По внешнему облику он сходен с некоторыми популяциями полиморфного B. americanum Coult. et Rose, распространенного на севере Американского континента и на северо-востоке Азии. На Дальнем Востоке B. sibiricum обнаружен сравнительно недавно - в 1964 г. (Ворошилов, Горовой, Павлова, 1966) и только в Сковородинском р-не Амурской обл., где он обитает на сухих склонах и в сосновых лесах. На западе Амурской обл. находястся вост. участки ареала этого вида, который встречается также и на северо-западе Сев.-Вост. Китая (Kitagawa, 1979). П. Горовой, Э. Бойко.
