Spreng., от которой отличается многочисленными (6-10, а не 1-5), более низкими (10-20 см, а не 30-50) и раскидистыми восходящими стеблями, крупными яйцевидными прицветниками, отсутствием седоватого опушения на стебле и листьях, более длинным столбиком, значительно выдающимся из венчика. Распространена на севере европейской территории СССР: северный берег Кольского п-ова, п-ов Канин, острова Колгуев, Вайгач, Южный остров Новой Земли, Большеземельская тундра. Издаваемые экземпляры собраны на Крайнем северо-востоке ареала C. lapponica и имеют короткие распластанные стебли и компактные головчатые соцветия. Отождествление подобных экземпляров с C. arctica Kryl. et Sert. ошибочно, так как последний вид представляет собой арктическую расу, родственную C. rubra (Drob.) Rebr. О. Ребристая
