в Бот. мат. Герб. Бот. инст. АН СССР XI, стр. 155 (1949). - М. nepalensis Kom. (non Benth.) var. japonicus Kom. в Kom. и Алис. Опред. раст. Дальневост. края, II, стр. 919 (1932). От близкого вида M. nepalensis Benth. отличается волосистым, особенно в верхней части, стеблем (у M. nepalensis он голый), более крупными цветками (дл. 2.5-3.5 см) и меньшим числом последних (1-4) на главном стебле, довольно характерно также наличие при основании стебля ползучих укореняющихся столонов с уменьшенными листьями.
