Единственный азиатский представитель рода, характерного для североамериканской флоры. Издаваемый вид распространен на западном побережье Камчатки, Северных Курилах, Алеутский о-вах и на побережье юго-запада Аляски. Наличие на Командорский о-вах (Hultén, 1929, 1968) гербарными материалами не подтверждается. В. Старченко.
