Вид относится к ser. Striatae Maxim., sect. Edentulae Benth. Распространен в Восточной Сибири (преимущественно в южной часть), на Дальнем Востоке (Даурия и Нижне-Зейский р-н), в Сев. Монголии и Сев. Китае. Произрастает на остепненных лугах, в ковыльно-разнотравных и луговых степях, в зарослях кустарников и в разреженных светлых лесах. Л. Иванина.
