Принадлежит к монотипному роду, положение которого в трибе Astereae не совсем ясно. По моим наблюдениям над издаваемыми экземплярами, в головках их встречаются цветы: 1) женские язычковые, 2) обоеполые трубчатые, 3) бесполые язычковые (не всегда), 4) мужские трубчатые (сравни Декандолль l. с., не всегда). Присутствие бесполых язычковых цветков сближает этот род с Galatella Cass. Легкая гетеропаппия (неодинаковые размеры хохолка) в семянках язычковых и трубчатых цветков, а также характер цветоложа сближают Turczaninovia с р. Heteropappus Less. Наконец гомохромия (одинаковая, в данном случае белая, окраска) язычковых и трубчатых цветков и отчасти форма соцветия напоминают р. Solidago L. Вид этот (resp. род) распространен в восточной части Забайкальской области, в Амурской и Приморской обл., Маньчжурии, Японии, Корее и Китае. И. Новопокровский.
