На советском Дальнем Востоке этот вид распространен преимущественно на территории Суйфуно-Ханкайской и Зее-Буреинской равнин. Произрастает обычно на сухих безлесных участках, называемых остепненными территориями, с преобладанием даурских видов: Polygala sibirica, Filifolium sibiricum, Bupleurum scorzonerifolium, Iris flavissima, Sophora flavescens, Armeniaca sibirica.
