Амура, и в долине среднего течения р. Аргунь (Нерчинская Даурия). Вне СССР встречается в вост. Монголии (Прихинганье), Сев.-Вост. Китае, на п-ове Корея. Киттагава (Kitagawa, 1979) считает, что ареал этого вида на юго-западе доходит до Гималаев. Растект на скалах и каменистых склонах сопок, в долинах рек. Используется как лекарственное растение для получения алкалоида секуренина. П. Горовой.
