Вид, распространенный на севере лесной зоны Европы, в Сибири и на Дальнем Востоке (Камчатка, Сахалин). В европейской части СССР своствен только северным районам и не выходит, видимо, на юг за пределы бассейна верхней Волги. Крайние южные находки его известны в Московской обл. Для Владимирской обл. вид до сих пор не указывался. Издаваемые образцы несколько отличаются от типичных в подавляющем большинстве случаев неветвистыми соцветиями и сравнительно широкими листями. В.
