Большинство распределенных образцов имеют сжатую метелку и нижнюю цветковую чешую несколько более широкую, чем у типа, и у нее иногда виден не совсем ровный край вверху, что свойственно Phippsia algida R. Br., и потому подходит под описание едва различаемого переходного к Phippsia подвида - Catabrosa concinna Th. Fries ssp. algidiformis Harry Smith in Sv. bot. Tidskr. VIII, pp. 245-252, fig. 2, 5 с. (1914), но попадаются особи с более или менее раскидистой метелкой с отогнутыми вниз нижними ветками, а это характерно для типической формы. Д. Литвинов.
