1753, Sp. Pl.: 68; Рожевиц, 1934, Фл. СССР 2: 379. Широко распространенный рудеральный вид, в настоящее время ставший почти космополитом. Имеются основания считать его результатом гибридизации между относительно криофильным видом P. supina Schrad. (включая P. ustulata Fröhn.), распространенным в Сибири, а так же горах Европы и внутренних районов Азии, и термофильным средиземноморским видом P. infirma H. B. K., следствием чего и является возможность приспособления P. annua к самым различным условиям обитания. Н. Цвелев.
