Определен во "Флоре Европейской части СССР" (Цвелев, 1974). От P. nemoralis subsp. nemoralis и P. tanfiljewii образец отличается голой осью колоска, от P. nemoralis subsp. lapponica и P. palustris ─ самым верхним узлом, расположенным в нижней трети стебля, и шероховатыми под узлами стеблями, от P. glauca ─ зелеными мягкими листьями и расположенными выше узлами
