Издаваемое растение относится, по Т.В. Егоровой (Аркт. фл. СССР 3:78), к C. maritima subsp. maritima. Для арктической Азии и Америки Егорова отличает другой подвид: C. maritima subsp. serotina. Кроме морских побережий C. maritima s.l. Встречается также и в горах. Е. Победимова.
