Полиморфный вид, рассматриваемый некоторыми авторами как ряд мелких видов. Ранее изданная разновидность имеет голую нижню поверхность листа и в ранге вида соответствует F. denudata (J. et C. Presl.) Fritsch. Издаваемые экземпляры принадлежат к типовой разновидности - var. ulmaria. И. Бузунова
