Все представители европейских видов в Сибири, и особенно на Востоке ее, как известно более или менее отличны от европейских. Особенности издаваемого растения были уже подмечены Максимовичем на образцах Турчанинова с Аргуни в Забайкалье, из той же местности происходит и это растение, совершенно сходное с образцами Турчанинова. К описанию Максимовича я добавлю лишь указание на большую величину семянок и их белую (в зрелости) окраску. Мне кажется, что и форма, по ветвистому соцветию относимая к S. maritimus L., но имеющая плоские семянки с 2 рыльцами, встречающаяся в тех же краях, также как и соответствеющая ей европейская, по количеству рылец плодика лучше относить к S. compactus (именно S. comp. var. orientalis f. decompositus m.), чем к S. maritmus, т. к. количество рылец более важный признак, чем усложнение соцветия. Вопреки цитате В.П. Дробова (l. c.) растение Турчанинова у Максимовича не получило названия. Затрудняюсь принять за название разновидности и приведенный с сомнением синоним В.Л. Комарова, почему растению даю новое название. Д. Литв. Isotypus.
