Восточная Сибирь, Даурский хребет, щебнистые склоны гольца Быстринского в верховьях Чикоя. == Sibiria orientalis, jugum Dahuricum in declivate schistosa montis Bystrinsky goletz, ad fontes fluminis Czikoi.

Листочки обертки зеленые с пурпуровым заостренным кончиком; семянки обильно волосистые. == Involucri phylla viridia in mucronem purpurascentem subulstum abeuntia; achenia valde pilosa.
Предположительно эндем высокогорий Даурии, так как растения с Восточного Саяна имеют фиолетовые листочки обертки, а растения из сопредельной Монголии отличаются голыми семянками и интенсивно окрашенным войлоком. М. Максимова. Isotypus.
